Ela relatou que, simplesmente, era submetida a torturas psicológicas e físicas, sempre que ousava não concordar com ele, em qualquer situação. Beth, durante a sessão, enquanto falava de seu sofrimento, ergueu a blusa e expôs marcas da mais recente violência de que foi vítima. Motivo banal: ousou atrasar o almoço do MACHÃO! Beth nem teve tempo de colocá-lo no berço. Luiz, descontrolado, não vendo a mesa posta, começou a vociferar palavrões, de baixo calão, ofendendo-a de todas as formas. Mal Beth tentou se explicar, ainda com o bebê no colo, recebeu um bofetão no rosto e caiu no chão com a criança. Teve o cuidado instintivo de o proteger com os seus braços!
