Quando pequenina adorava os almoços lá em casa. Minha mãe sabia cozinhar como ninguém! Lembro dos cozidos que ela preparava com alguns legumes e muito músculo bovino. Cozinhava até quase derreter. Eu achava uma delicia! Ela sabia juntar alguns temperos incríveis.. O gostinho da manjerona no arroz com frango, não dá pra esquecer! Naquela época eu gostava da carne branca do peito do frango. Me lambuzava de tanto prazer. E bisteca de porco? Quando ela preparava dava água na boca! A comida dela era famosa! Sempre tinha muitas carnes nas refeições. Das mais variadas formas. Meu pai era muito carnívoro. Criança normalmente não associa a morte do animal com a alimentação. Pra mim era só comida! Por outro lado sempre adorei animais. Tinha gatos e cachorros com quem eu convivia e brincava muito. Eles representavam para mim fontes de afetos importantes. Vivi a minha infância num lar natural e feliz. Meus pais amorosos e muito presentes. De vez em quando eles brigavam feio, mas, eu sentia que eles se amavam. Depois das brigas sempre se beijavam! Minha mãe era um poço de ciúmes e inseguranças. Hoje posso compreendê-la. Meu pai era danado e mulherengo. Tocava instrumentos de sopro. Respirava música. Trabalhava durante as noites. Chegava em casa ao amanhecer. Lembro que ele sempre trazia alguma guloseima pra me agradar. Era muito carinhoso comigo. Em seus ensaios, lá em casa, tocava as músicas que eu mais gostava. Foi através dele que tive a experiência transformadora para a minha vida! Quando eu tinha nove anos de idade, numa manhã de domingo, meu pai tinha acabado de chegar do trabalho. Trouxe uma galinha viva! Ela era de um lindo marrom dourado. Quando acordei para ir à igreja e vi aquela ave ciscando em meu quintal, fiquei muito surpresa e feliz. Achei demais! Fiquei um tempo fazendo carinho na cabeça dela. Ela parecia gostar tanto! Até cheguei atrasada para o culto. Quando o culto terminou voltei correndo para chegar logo em casa. Nem chamei minha priminha para brincar, como eu sempre fazia. Cheguei esbaforida. Minha mãe fazendo o seu tradicional almoço de domingo. Estava um aroma delicioso! O ar de casa estava inundado de temperos! Estimulou a minha fome, mas, naquele momento, era mais importante eu rever a minha ave amiguinha! Já tinha até pensado num nome pra ela: “LUZ”. Corri para o quintal. Estranhei ! Ela não estava mais lá. Fiquei com medo que tivesse fugido. Era muito fácil fugir daquele quintal. Aquelas cercas tinham espaços tão abertos! Ansiosa fui perguntar à minha mãe se ela não tinha visto a “LUZ”. Percebi uma expressão estranha em seu rosto. Não gostei! Quando ela se expressava daquele jeito tinha algo ruim pra me contar. Seu lema era sempre me falar a verdade. Nunca mentir! Isso ela soube me ensinar muito bem. Com muita sutileza me explicou o que tinha acontecido. Falou sobre a cadeia alimentar e tudo o mais… Desabei! Não queria acreditar que os adultos matavam cruelmente os bichinhos que eu tanto amava. Desatei a chorar. Minha amiguinha marrom brilhante tinha sido transformada sem piedade, num almoço de domingo. Foi a primeira vez em minha vida que associei “morte de animais” com pratos suculentos! Não queria aceitar que matar animais fosse necessário para suprir nossas necessidades alimentares. Achei que não era bom ser gente grande. Muita insensibilidade!!! Por um bom tempo fiquei magoada com os meus pais. Não tinham o direito de terem feito aquilo! Eles conversaram muito comigo tentando explicar todos os motivos que levam ao consumo de carne. Não aceitei nenhum. Sempre tive uma personalidade forte! Nunca mais quis provar nenhum tipo de carne. Minha mãe respeitou. Passou a me oferecer variedades de grãos, verduras, legumes e frutas de montão! Me tornei uma mulher saudável e com muita energia, sim! Os animais tem o direito à vida! Assim como os humanos eles também tem a capacidade de amar e trocar afetos. Culturalmente os nossos sentidos se acostumam com o cheiro, sabor e o incentivo do consumo da carne. Aprendi a educar o meus sentidos e sentir empatia. Não quero comer dor! Amo todos os seres. Quero trocar com o universo a energia lilás do amor! Lançada a campanha :” Segundas e Quintas, Sem carne”.
